Wookiee Hut Cuisine presents:
Tucker's Marketplace

Ottawa, Ontario

Sometimes you don't want the pressure of reading a menu and deciding on a single item to eat sometimes you want to just have a bit of this and that. Cafeterias and buffets are ideal in this situation. In the American South, there is a big tradition of these styles of eateries, but we were in Canada at the time. Fortunately, there is a Canadian sort of equivalent, called Tucker's Marketplace!

It had been a long day, we were hot, and our appetites were flagging. We were eating because we knew if we didn't, we'd wake up ravenous. At $20 Canadian per person, we figured we could at least get fruit and salad and maybe a dessert. But we walked in and found prime rib, ham, chickens, mussels, squid, octopus, many vegetables and side dishes, pasta bar with a chef to cook up your order on demand, ice cream bar (make your own, very popular!), dessert bar with cheesecakes, chocolates, tartes, pies, etc. How could we not imbibe?

The food was great, actually! We were quite impressed. It's a great place for kids since they have the luxury of choosing for themselves what they want. And this place had everything, so it's good for adults, too.

Four thumbs up, by every member of the party! We love this place, and would vote it for "clubhouse" status!
